The Inverted Jenny is the most famous United States errors. Only a sheet of 100 was ever discovered.  


In 2005 Sundman traded the Z Grill for the unique Inverted Jenny plate block, worth slightly over $3 million, from U.S. financier Bill Gross, thus giving Gross the only complete collection of 19th century US stamps.

The British Guiana 1-cent stamp is the worlds most valuable stamp. Selling in 2014 for $9.5 million. 


Found in 1873, by a 12-year-old boy named Louis Vernon Vaughn who was helping clean out his uncle’s house. He sold it to a local stamp dealer for 6 shillings (about $17 in todays dollars).


The storied stamp was destined to become quite the unusual rarity, sought after by industry titans and moguls. The stamp is said to have changed owners many times.

The Franklin Z grill, known as the rarest United States stamp (only 2 known to exist) was purchased by Mystic Stamp Company president Donald Sundman at the Siegel auction of the Robert Zoellner collection in 1998 for a whopping $935,000, which at the time was the highest price ever paid for a US stamp.
